Incident management

Errors are human, but training helps to avoid mistakes

Worldwide, about 70% of incidents in medicine are due to human misconduct and could thus have been prevented. In order to ensure the best possible safety for your patients, regular training of emergencies and critical situations are necessary.

Identify and deal with incidents in the team

The technological possibilities for education and training in medicine have never been as diverse and effective as they are today. Powerful and versatile simulators, sophisticated skills trainers and video debriefings enable a completely new way of teaching, which is unfortunately still too little use.

Communicating in a targeted way, detecting and dealing with complex incidents at an early stage, or even avoiding them, is a question of teamwork and not the performance of individual persons. In aerospace, this has long been recognized. In collaboration with Deutsche Lufthansa, we have transferred their concepts to medicine. This investment in a successful and modern training strategy serves our highest goal: to increase the safety of our patients.

Equipment and performance

Our simulation center has a large number of technically modern function rooms, which can be adapted according to the course concept and needs. Likewise, we are able to build our equipment at our customers' premises.
Our instructors all have excellent job-specific knowledge and experience. In addition, they are specifically trained in Human Factors and Crisis Resource Management (CRM).

All courses are certified by the competent medical associations and the voluntary registration for nurses.

  • Full-scale simulators (adults, children, infants)
  • Skills trainer (TestChest®, Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Cardiology)
  • Modern medical equipment (anesthesia, intensive care, ventilation, emergency care)
  • Ambulance with simulation and video technology
  • Digital audiovisual video systems
  • Complete mobile equipment
  • Individual solutions for every customer

Areas of expertise

Anesthesia
Anesthesia

Hours of boredom, moments of terror - that's how anesthesia is often described. We teach you techniques and solutions that will make your daily work easier, help you recognize potential incidents early and how to treat them accordingly.

Courses
Cardiology
Cardiology

High-tech simulation at its best! Train your abilities with the cardiac catheter simulator and treat complications that occur to the patient simulator. Coupling two high-end simulators allows you to create a simulation experience that is second to none.

Courses
Cardio surgery
Cardio surgery

In this highly complex field the entire surgical team, consisting of cardio surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses in anesthesia and surgery and cardiologists, must work together to manage complications. Train your team on a patient simulator, which in combination with other simulators (perfusion simulator and lung simulator) ensures an extremely realistic setting.

Courses
Emergency Medicine
Emergency Medicine

The interdisciplinary factor in emergency medicine poses great challenges for everyone involved. Practice using practical examples, which are designed for pre- or in-hospital care, for adults and children in an acute emergency. Training a wide range of internal and traumatic scenarios provides security and experience.

Courses
Emergency room
Emergency room

In the ER, interdisciplinary and interprofessional teams take care of the patients. All participating disciplines must communicate purposefully with one another and work together as a team. Make yourself and your team aware of common pitfalls of communication and teamwork in simulator setting.

Courses
Gastroenterology
Gastroenterology

Incidents in endoscopy are rare, but can not be ruled out. Prepare yourself and your team for an emergency with simulation training. We promise you more security in coping with possible complications.

Courses
Intensive Care
Intensive Care

Working in an intensive care unit means handling critically ill patients on a daily basis and working with colleagues of different disciplines. This in combination with complex medical devices, fault chains can quickly develop that endanger a patient’s safety. Expand your knowledge by training with state-of-the-art simulators.

Courses
Obstetrics
Obstetrics

This training increases the safety of mother and child in the delivery room. Organized for midwives, neonatologists, gynecologists and anesthesiologists, coordinated and goal-oriented activities are trained in the treatment of maternal and child emergencies as well as the extended initial care of newborns.

Courses
Rehabilitation clinics
Rehabilitation clinics

Patients are often moved to a rehab clinic right after acute care. This fact provokes incidents and emergency care issues in such areas. With our training you  will become more confident in dealing with such problems.

Courses
Settled/established doctors
Settled/established doctors

Emergencies can occur anywhere - even in a doctor’s office. As a practice team, learn to master such situations in order to hand over your patient to the ambulance service in a well-looked-after condition.

Contents and teaching focus

The content is interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary with a special focus on the linking of medical-technical issues with aspects of secure cooperation (Human Factors) and CRM (Crisis Resource Management).
The methodological focus includes the work in small groups, extensive debriefing with the help of video analyzes and support by theoretical accompanying material. We promise a protected learning environment and ask for understanding that we do not allow anonymous viewers.
